Addie has been on the city swim team this year. This is her first year and she did GREAT. She had her last compitition on Saturday and did a fantastic job. She swam the back stroke and she swam it 10 seconds faster than the last swim meet. She also did the free style and swam it 6 seconds faster than the last. Way to go Addie we are so proud of you.

Alaska
As some of you know Mike went to Alaska for 10 days with his dad and some friends. What a trip this was. 10 days of straight fishing. (doesn't sound like fun to me) The second day that they were there they went deep sea fishing, they caught lots of Halibut and Cod. They even saw several killer whales, they would swim right up to the boat. The weather in Alaska isn't as warm as the weather in Utah. The high was only 65 with lots of rain. They was maybe a couple of days that the sun actually came out. Alaska is beautiful. Mike said the weird part was that they were in the mountains but they were only at about 1500 feet. Green and wet everywhere.
There is a couple from Utah that bought this place in Alaska 12 years ago, and all summer they host groups of people for fishing trips. The place they eat use to be a bar/restaurant. Then there are a couple of houses in the back where the quests sleep. Mike ate better in Alaska then he eats here at home. Everyday they would get the most amazing breakfast, then Steak and Prime rib for dinner. (yea that doesn't happen here).
Mike was able to spend a lot of time with his dad. The two of them had a wonderful time and they are already planning their trip for next year. Most of their trip was spent on the river fishing for King Salmon. Mike and his dad unfortunately didn't catch any, but we were still able to bring some home.
As you can see I like doing the slide shows when there are several pictures. But please forgive me I am still new at this and some how I put the same slide show on twice, you get a double dose. (sorry) but along with the slide show is some music. Please enjoy

Sharing Memories
I saw this on a friends blog so I thought I would give it a try.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

4th of July Celebrations
Mike went out of town to Alaska on the 4th so we started our celebrations early. It started with the Balloon Fest in Provo. This was a lot of fun, we were so close to the balloons that we could feel the heat. Mike had to work that day so the girls and I put everything together for a BBQ. We had Uncle Dave and Aunt Jessica along with our really good friends Tim and Holly Shanto (don't forget Baby McKenzie due November). Then we made some homemade Ice Cream and did fireworks. The girls really enjoyed this. But Ginger, our dog, didn't like it so much she is afraid of fireworks. Then the next morning we went to Utah Lake for some boating. We spend the whole day on the lake and we have the sunburn to prove it. All the boys had fun on the tube getting thrown around. Mike tried to surf behind the boat but he didn't quite get it. But the best was Addie learned how to water ski. She did great, it only took her about 10 times. Way to go Addie!! This year we finally got Brianna and Rachael out on the tube and they loved it, they kept asking daddy to go FASTER! FASTER! Rachael's favorite thing to do is do cannon bombs off the side of the boat. We all had a wonderful 4th. Hope you all had a great holiday, also. Please enjoy the slide show of our 4th of July Celebrations.
